Work Experience

$

Telecommunications Engineer by the UP of Madrid (1977), since 1977 he has worked in the Security sector. Between 1977 and 1983 he worked as Project engineer in several Security Systems installation companies.

$

Between 1983 and 1995 he founded and became the director of the security consulting and engineering company Penta3.

$

Between 1996 and 2005, he held various management positions at Securitas España.

$

Between 2006 and 2020 he founded and became director of the consulting and engineering company Inerco Security (formerly Cuevavaliente Ingenieros).

$

He is author of numerous articles in different Spanish and international media on risk analysis and mathematical modelling applied to this discipline. His experience and research activity in deliberate risk analysis and the use of fuzzy set theory should be highlighted, presenting papers in Switzerland, Great Britain, USA, Argentina, Mexico and Canada. It is also worth mentioning his role as a speaker at the 2nd Spanish Engineering Congress and at the 1st National Meeting of Military Operational Research.

He is an organising member of many national and international conferences related to Technology and Security. He has directed Security Directors Courses for institutions such as ICADE, Fundación Mapfre and Universidad de Alcalá. He is also a member of the Executive Committee of the IEEE International Carnahan Conference in Security Technology since 2000.

He is the Chairman of the Technical Delegate Committee and Secretary of the Advisory Board of the ESYS Foundation (Empresa Seguridad y Sociedad), of which he was the promoter.

Founder and current President of AEINSE, Spanish Association of Security Engineers.

$

For his contribution to the defence of the law through his contributions to security methodology, he was made a member of the honorary order of Kentucky Colonels in 1989 (USA) and received the John S. Jackson Award in 2000 (USA).
